On Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 11:00 to 20:00, we will hold the event “Event: “Love and Life are Fragile—So Let’s Gather Here” at HOME/WORK VILLAGE in Setagaya, Tokyo.
Since July 2025, me and you has been developing a special series titled “Love and Life are Fragile,” primarily through our web magazine. As the culmination of a year of reflection, we hope to create a space where we can gather, think, talk, sing, and enjoy time together.
The venue is a former junior high school building. In classrooms where desks are still lined up in front of blackboards, we will host five specific programs:
“What does friendship mean to you?” by Ichiko Uemoto and Yukie Ikari
“Let’s sing love songs together” with Manatsu Nagahara
“Talk and songs for loving the mundane” by Ayu Megumi and Kazuki Inoue (from the podcast Call If You Need Me)
“Philosophical Dialogue: ‘What is War?’” with Rei Nagai and Saki Yagi
“After-school chat session” with me and you
(Note: Pre-registration is required for these sessions.)
At the bookstore “Totsutotsu-to” near the entrance, there will be a curated book corner related to the series. In the gallery, we will also host a mini-exhibit that visitors can participate in. Additionally, we will sell our popular “Love Life” and “Love Writing” gift sets and tote bags, along with an exclusive pre-sale of our first print magazine, me and you little magazine vol.1, ahead of its June release. These activities are free for anyone to join.
We hope this Sunday in early summer becomes a day where you can find small moments of love amidst our fragile daily lives.
